Cold-pressed oil is extracted from peanuts using mechanical pressure without heat or chemicals. This preserves the natural flavor, aroma, and nutrients that are lost in refined oils.

Most grocery store groundnut oil is refined — heated, bleached, and deodorized until it's nearly flavorless. Our oil is cold-pressed fresh in small batches, preserving the rich, nutty taste that makes groundnut oil special.

We use premium Virginia-variety peanuts grown in the United States. Virginia peanuts have higher oil content and produce a richer, more flavorful oil.

We press in small batches and ship fresh. Unlike mass-market oils that may sit in warehouses for months, our oil goes from press to your door within weeks of production.

Groundnut oil is versatile and works beautifully for:

  • West African dishes (jollof rice, stews, fried plantains)
  • South Indian cooking (chutneys, curries, tempering)
  • General frying and sautéing
  • Salad dressings and marinades

Cold-pressed groundnut oil has a smoke point around 320°F (160°C), making it suitable for medium-heat cooking. For high-heat frying, you may want to blend with a higher smoke point oil.

Store in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, use within 6 months for best flavor. Refrigeration can extend shelf life but may cause the oil to become cloudy (this is normal and doesn't affect quality).
